Marilyn “Toogie” Dick is the community luminary from whom Toogie’s Table takes its name. Inheriting Kurtz Restaurant and the Parkview Motel from her family, who had owned the property since 1937, Toogie endeavored to both honor her family’s tradition and innovate to encourage tourism, which she views as the lifeblood of any community.
Today, the restaurant and motel (now called Bardstown Motor Lodge) are under new ownership as part of the Common Bond Hotel Collection. The chef-led farm-to-table kitchen integrates the rich history of the property with present-day culinary flair. Toogie’s Table is a collaboration with local Kentucky farmers and distillers, offering an inspired menu for today’s palate. Toogie’s is a spirited addition to Bardstown’s thriving community of foodies, travelers, and bourbon epicures.
